Yanhui Xu obtained her bachelor's degree in medicine in 2011, followed by 3-year research training from Peking University Health Science Center and got her master degree of science (2011-2014). She completed her PhD at Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Melbourne University in July 2019. During her PhD, she mainly investigated how short chain fatty acids, fermentation products of gut bacteria, alter the phenotype and function of human T cells. Then, she joined Yuxia Zhang's group at Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center in October 2019. Now she focuses on the pathogenesis of immune mediated pediatric diseases including biliary atresia and Hirschsprung disease.
